Heh. Crazy sounds Interesting tune. I like it although I would like to here more themes in this song. Background is very groovy (bass, drums, oh.. ) but it's too boring for long listening.
All in all it is a cool composition but it needs .. hm.. something .

That instrument does have an interesting sound to it. It has a beautiful tone. The music makes me think coffeehouse, and *snap* or maybe a soundtrack-- it would be great in a movie.

Ahh the new toy in action. Sounds very kewl... The tune itself is more noodle session than composition, no real defined melodic line, breaks or changes.
I would like this more, if you incorporated the sax also, and/or switched up the sounds to add variation and direction. No doubt this will happen, and I can’t wait to hear where you take us on this journey.

This reminds me of the Pink panther.... But then more in the back alley, wobbly, Panther on drugs...
Gives a sort of creepy feeling which you might've aimed for, dunno?

What the heck? This is very cool! There's something just slightly askew here...kind of like some acid trip, jazz club 1968 road trip gone amuck. The kind that is a very enjoyable experience, if you can remember it when its over! Dr. Phibes, is that you? I love the total quirkiness of this! Really interesting and seriously inventive!

a good platform for experimentation with the new gizmo.
I like the wacked out organ sound, reminds me of a latter Tom Waits sound.
very distant sound on the EWI, with an upfront bite, is that the dual oscillator majig you were speaking of?
now do Beethoven's Vacation!

oh, this is a pitch class tune, I honestly haven't studied it enough to recognize the structures. but, listening to the bassline in particular, it becomes clear how you were manipulating the song.
explains why everybody wants you to start a theme! I like the rhythmic treatments you gave ot the melodic phrases, I suppose that's the freest element of the pitch set theory.

Quirky in the extreme like Gene says it needs a Sax, otherwise its pure class

Pitch class set theory!? And yet this actually rocks. Just sounds like very creative blues rather than a postgrad composer's headache. Excellent work!
You put your Midi horn or whatevertheheckyouwannacallit to damn fine use here. It allows you achieve some really husky sounds in here that you couldn't pull off with merely a dab hand at the mod wheel.
Don't listen to them! Keep your psycho imaginary instrument in and leave out the sax...this is too cool for even your horn work.
Really excellent, especially for such an experimental work.

Very interesting sound with the ewI4000. Can hear all those woodwind type phrases but with that great synth sound coming out at the end. Backing track is excellent and very funky. Interesting to see what else you can do with the Akai. Musicianship very impressive.

The thing that struck me immediately is the sound...it's very eerie! It's certainly a sound that will work to great effect in the right circumstances (this track was very cool and atmospheric) - I think it's something that has to be appreciated in it's own right rather than compared to real a sax. I have to say I tend to favour "real" sounds and songwriter-led arrangements - but I was very impressed by the mood and tones of this track!

excellent groove.
Spaced out bebop is one of favorite genres. Sounds like Sun ra jamming with Ron Carter and my akita.

Really nice fusion-esque feel here. The smooth synth lines reminded me of Allan Holdsworth quite a lot. Good stuff man.
